My first digital national beauty campaign with Instaperfect by Wardah, but this time I'm not directing it.
I started my career as a Fashion Intern, and now me and my team creates and publish all types of contents in a daily manner. Styling, concepting, shooting and directing contents have always been something that I love to do, especially with the creative support from our amazing talents at IDN Media.
When I shared my ideas about creating Pejuang Pulih to our friends at PT. Paragon Technology and Innovation, I was wondering if we could do a beneficial collaboration between the world of beauty and mental wellness, knowing that the two worlds collides greater than we all might think. Current research suggests that activities involved in maintaining beauty positively influence our emotional and physical well-being. They create positive internal experiences that can result in decreased stress, as well as identifiable benefits to the body and brain.
I was very happy to hear that our friends at Instaperfect by Wardah, under the wings of PT. Paragon Technology and Innovation was on board with the idea of integrating wellness and beauty altogether. When they suggest we use real people as models to their new campaign which will launch at Festival Pulih by POPBELA.com, I couldn't agree more. But when my name was mentioned to be one of the face for their digital campaign, I was truly humbled.
The idea was to showcase real women and their real insecurities facing their day-to-day lives, and how Instaperfect by Wardah come in handy to boost these women's confidence. The campaign, Imperfectly Perfect Me, was something very close to my heart. I get to talk a bit about my imposter syndrome and how i battles with it, more often than not. Along with Anissa Caca (Founder Cherish The Love), Dewisya (Content Creator behind @peonyandherself), and Karina Agnia (Brand Development Executive at Instaperfect), we get the chance to share our struggles and how we managed to rise from it.
Turns out, being in front of the camera was as hard as being behind it. Truly a great experience, and I have my dear friend, Clarissa Gunawan, to thank for this amazing collaboration!
